Cotecna China attended the China International Import Expo (“CIIE”) 2023, showcasing its latest progresses and building partnerships at China’s most significant import event.
The Sixth China International Import Expo (“CIIE”) took place from 5 to 10 November 2023 in Shanghai, China. This year’s event created many records in its history – attracted approximately 410,000 professional visitors from 154 countries, regions and international organisations, and over 3,400 exhibitors from 128 countries and regions including 289 Fortune 500 companies and top market leaders. The exhibitors cover various sectors such as Trade in Services, Food and Agricultural Products, Automobile, Intelligent Industry & Information Technology, Consumer Products, and Medical Equipment & Healthcare Products.
The past six days witnessed Cotecna China’s participation in this event showcasing Cotecna’s high-quality and innovative services and supply chain solutions. More significantly, the event serves an invaluable platform for exploring market opportunities and developing partnerships.

Agreement signed with High Hope Zhongding to jointly drive trade
On 6 November, Cotecna China signed a collaboration agreement with a key subsidiary of Jiangsu SOHO Holdings Group, a major state-owned company in Jiangsu Province, witnessed by Mayor of Putuo District and Deputy Director-General of Jiangsu Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. With this partnership, the two companies will launch in-depth cooperation through leveraging respective expertise and strengths to jointly drive trade.
Visit by Ambassador of Switzerland
On 7 November, H. E. Mr Jürg Burri, Ambassador of Switzerland to China, Mr Sacha Bachmann, Consul General of Switzerland in Shanghai, along with their delegation visited Cotecna’s exhibition booth.
Mr Frank Pan, Senior Vice President for North Asia Business Group and the management team warmly welcomed the guests and briefed them on Cotecna’s latest development in China and around the world, especially in terms of expanded business scope and market coverage despite challenges in past few years.
Mr Burri congratulated on and highly recognised Cotecna’s achievements in China and encouraged Cotecna to continue building up capabilities, achieving greater success, and making new contributions to local economy and global trade.
Support from Chinese Government
Cotecna highly appreciates support from the government. During this CIIE, Cotecna was very honored to consecutively welcome government leaders including Mayor of Putuo District, Deputy Director-General of Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation, Deputy Director-General of Jiangsu Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Deputy Party Secretary of Putuo District, Member of Party Committee of Shanghai Administration of Customs, Deputy Mayor of Putuo District, Deputy Mayor of Pudong New District, etc. The visiting leaders expressed high expectations on and continuous support to Cotecna’s development in China and wished us greater success ahead.
Themed events held to promote sustainability
At the Cotecna booth, a series of events were held to showcase what Cotecna has achieved in sustainability especially in certification accreditation expansion and solution offerings. These events took place in multiple appealing forms, including signing ceremony, awarding ceremony, roundtable discussions, and interview.
Kaixin Certification was awarded membership of “Carbon Neutrality Committee of China Energy Conservation Association” during the events.

At this CIIE, Frank was interviewed by Mr Guillaume Joyet, Executive Director of Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce (“SwissCham”), sharing Cotecna’s new progresses in and expectations on China market, focusing on sustainability practices and new achievements in TIC solutions.
