Cotecna exhibits at China International Import Expo 2022

Cotecna China attended the China International Import Expo (“CIIE”) 2022, showcasing its latest development and exploring business opportunities at China’s most significant import event.

The Fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE) took place from 5 to 10 November in Shanghai, China, attracting 145 countries, regions and international organisations, as well as around 3,000 companies from 127 countries and regions including 284 Fortune 500 companies and market leaders. The exhibitors cover various sectors such as Trade in Services, Food and Agricultural Products, Automobile, Intelligent Industry & Information Technology, Consumer Goods, and Medical Equipment & Healthcare Products.

Cotecna China was present at China’s most significant import event for four consecutive years, to showcase its high-quality and innovative services and supply chain solutions. This is also a great platform for brand promotion and partnership development, including signing agreements with new customers and exploring extensive and in-depth cooperation. New Consul-General of Switzerland in Shanghai visited Cotecna booth

On 8 November, H. E. Mr Sacha Bachmann, Consul General of Switzerland in Shanghai and his delegation visited Cotecna’s exhibition booth.

Frank Pan, Vice President, North Asia and the management team warmly welcomed the guests and briefed them on Cotecna’s latest progress in China and around the world despite being affected by the epidemic.

Mr Bachmann congratulated on and highly recognised Cotecna’s achievements in China and encouraged Cotecna to continue leveraging the CIIE platform to achieve greater success in the country and beyond.

Partnership built and opportunities explored to jointly drive trade facilitation

On 6 November, Cotecna China signed a strategic collaboration agreement with a key subsidiary of CNMC International Trading, a major state-owned company in China, witnessed by senior government officials from Shanghai local government. With this partnership, the two companies will launch in-depth cooperation in a wide range of sectors including sustainability, minerals and metals, logistics, warehousing, trading, etc.

During the CIIE, Cotecna China met with Maersk, Orient International, Xiamen Construction & Development, and other reputed local and international companies, to explore collaboration opportunities, in particular, low-carbon supply chain solutions, textiles certification, consumer goods inspection and testing, etc.

These newly established and potential partnerships will allow Cotecna as a leading TIC player to bring its integrated and innovative solutions to more companies in China and beyond, thus driving trade facilitation and making supply chains safer, more efficient and sustainable.

On top of that, Cotecna China attended the annual Sino-Swiss Business Reception with the presence of Ambassador of Switzerland in China (via video) and Consul-General of Switzerland in Shanghai, building and enhancing the network with the Swiss business community in China and leveraging the platform to seek possible collaboration opportunities.
