On December 8, 2021, the "Shanghai Industry Emissions Peak and Carbon Neutral Services Union" (‘Dual Carbon Union’ in short) was launched, together with the Forum in theme "Towards Dual Carbon: Services and Actions", at the Shanghai Energy Efficiency Centre.
Frank PAN, Vice President of Cotecna North Asia, attended the event on behalf of the Cotecna and signed the 'Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation to Promote Emission Peak and Carbon Neutral Efforts', as one of the representatives from TIC industry.
At the forum, Frank PAN and expert representatives discussed focal issues such as how SMEs can achieve the "Dual Carbon" target, carbon standard establishment, carbon information platform and international trade situation, and high quality economic development, etc.
As one of the first members of the "Dual Carbon Union" professional Consulting (Certification) body, Cotecna supports the implementation of China's dual carbon policy by providing professional services to meet the needs of various parties in terms of emission peak and carbon neutral work.
Shanghai Industrial Emission Peak and Carbon Neutralization Service Union is jointly initiated by Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center and Shanghai Energy Conservation Center, and jointly prepared by 13 domestic and foreign service institutions in the field of dual carbon. Through technical support, trading market and financial assistance, the Union will explore the path of carbon neutrality with innovative services as its core, meet the needs of various enterprises for consulting services in the context of carbon neutrality, and build the most innovative, cutting-edge and authoritative service Union in Shanghai and extended to China.
