Last week, the 4th Guangdong International Business Opportunity Promotion conference was held in Guangzhou. The theme of the conference was ‘Enter Africa, Facilitate Guangdong Enterprises’, which aims to help enterprises better connect with business opportunities at home and abroad. According to statistics, Guangdong's import and export volume to Africa reached 38.86 billion US dollars last year, accounting for about one fifth of China-Africa trade.
In order to implement the spirit of the "Eight Actions" initiative, proposed by President Xi at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa cooperation, and respond to the call of the belt and road initiative, Cotecna participated in the promotion activity as the only inspection testing & certification service supplier, providing African compliance certification consultation for customers.
Chinese products entering Africa must ensure that shipments conform to local importing standards in order to be cleared at destination. Cotecna acts as a government authorized body to carry out pre-shipment conformity assessments of regulated goods and deliver Certificates of Conformity (CoCs).
