Cotecna China participated in the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2025, marking its 7th consecutive year as an exhibitor. We presented our supply chain solutions with a focus on digital innovation and ESG services, to deepen stakeholder collaboration and reaffirm our long-term commitment to China market.

This year’s CIIE set new records with 4,108 exhibitors from 155 participating countries, regions, and international organizations, spanning over 430,000 square meters of exhibition space across seven sectors, including Trade in Services, Food & Agricultural Products, Consumer Goods, Automobile & Smart Mobility, Intelligent Industry & Information Technology, Medical Equipment & Healthcare Products, and Innovation Incubation Special Section, with Cotecna positioned at the forefront of innovation in the Trade in Services exhibition area.

Invited to the Invest in China Conference and Media Interview
On 6 November, Wenjiang LI, Vice President North Asia, was invited to attend the Invest in China · 2025 Shanghai City Investment Promotion Conference, co-hosted by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and the Ministry of Commerce. This event serves as a global platform to showcase Shanghai’s opening-up policies and development opportunities to the world, highlighting the city’s strong appeal to investors.
Being invited to this event signifies Cotecna’s status as a valued investor in Shanghai.

On the same day, Wenjiang gave media interview, which was aired on eastday.com and covered by China News Service and other top-tier print media outlets. As a seven-year veteran exhibitor at CIIE, Cotecna firmly believes in the expo’s value as a national platform for openness.
Wenjiang noted that CIIE has become a core channel for brand building, delivering significant visibility in this market. Since entering China in 2004 and relocating its North Asia & China headquarters to Shanghai, Cotecna has leveraged Shanghai’s efficient governance, world-class business environment, and strategic advantages in finance, logistics, talent, and infrastructure to establish operations and accredited labs across the country, delivering reliable testing, inspection, certification, and supply chain assurance services to clients worldwide.
Strategic Partnership and Government Recognition
On 6 November, Cotecna China signed a collaboration agreement with SOHO High Hope, one of the earliest specialized foreign trade enterprises in Jiangsu Province and now a large-sized state-controlled enterprise specialized in supply chain operations. The partnership aims to deepen cooperation in nickel ore sector, expand services in chemicals and metal products, and other areas through resource sharing and integration.
The signing was witnessed by ZHOU Ruyi, Vice Mayor of Shanghai’s Putuo District, now home to Cotecna North Asia & China headquarters, relocated earlier this year.

Visit by Consul General of Switzerland in Shanghai
On 5 November, Sacha BACHMANN, Consul General of Switzerland in Shanghai, visited Cotecna’s CIIE booth and was welcomed by Wenjiang who shared Cotecna’s recent progress locally and globally, particularly our expanded service network and enhanced capabilities. Sacha commended Cotecna’s localized innovation, encouraged Cotecna’s role in strengthening bilateral trade ties, and wished the company great success at CIIE and in China market.
Engagement with TIC Council and SwissCham
At this CIIE, Cotecna also hosted XU Min, Executive Director of TIC Council China, and Vittoria PESENTI, Executive Director of SwissCham Shanghai on 7 November, for conversations on evolving market trends and opportunities for collaborative industry initiatives.
All these dialogues coincide with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland.
