Cotecna China was invited to present at the 33rd International Conference on Oilseeds Pulses and Special Crops (ICOPS) held in Yantai, on September 10, 2019.

On September 9-12th, the 33rd International Conference on Oilseeds Pulses and Special Crops (ICOPS) - organized by China Agriculture Outlook (Aglook), the China Chamber of International Commerce, and the Yantai Chamber of Commerce - was successfully held in Yantai City, China.

As part of the event, Cotecna – attending as one of the top four agricultural inspection institutions - was invited to deliver a speech at the summit, which was presented by Mr. Stone Shi, Business Development Manager of Commodities for China.

In recent years, Sino-US trade and economic globalization has experienced setbacks through the application of tariffs on a wide range of commodities. However, since the 2019 Central Government files advocate for "expanding the import of domestic agricultural products in short supply and extending diversified import channels", there still remain some opportunities for the import of small agricultural products.

Chinese enterprises have also adjusted the varieties and sources of imported agricultural products. Relying on the strengthening of Sino-Russian relations, grain imports in the Black Sea region are expected to continue to increase. In his speech, Mr. Shi made a detailed introduction and market analysis of the main export crops in the Black Sea region, backed by the large volume of data collected by the Cotecna Group's strong network in the region, and supported by statistical information on sowing, harvesting, transportation and product quality. The speech was well received and praised by the delegates in attendance.
